Boston School Board, organized originally in 1798, issued updated regulations which show the improvements and innovations of the educational system in the city.  The text begins with the rules of the School Committee, followed by the regulations common to all the public schools, regulations for teaching English grammar and writing skills, regulations governing the high school for girls, and regulations for the Latin Grammar School, with a list of books used in educating Latin School students.  James Savage with the Secretary of the School Committee.
