Famous Indian captivity, reported by Zadock Steele who was taken by British forces including a party of nearly 300 Mohawk Indians.  He was taken Canada, imprisoned for two years and finally escaped.  His account of the burning of Royalton comprises the first forty-eight pages of the narrative.
