2 volumes in one. 12 mo. 180 x 105 mm., (7 x 4 inches). 170pp., 38 pp. Contemporary sheep, joints cracked and rubbed, text block brown, end leaves showing tide marks. With faults a sound and not unattractive copy. Third edition, an excellent example of provincial printing west of the Allegheny Mountains and a relatively early Ohio imprint. The two titles in this volume were published as separate titles originally appearing in Philadelphia in 1793 and 1795; with the Baltimore edition of 1802, both titles appeared together for the first time. Snowden was also the author of a History of North and South America, Philadelphia, 1805, which was reprinted a number of times, the final edition appearing 1832. Sabin 85590.
