Very attractive and legible manuscript containing written rules and examples for compound addition, compound subtraction, reduction, multiplication of Federal Money, division of Federal Money, compound division and at the end a series of questions and exercises for the student.  The examples include problems of measurement and weight of beer, wine, dry goods, division of acreage, money, and other practical applications for business and finance.  A few of the pages are dated from February 1820.  One of the exercises is entitled, “Question for exercise in Compound Multiplication and Division in Federal and other Currencies.”.
